Meet Chef Christian

 My culinary journey began in 2014, working for renowned iron chef Jose Garces at Mercat a la Planxa in the Blackstone hotel. Since then I've worked in some of Chicago's most upscale and notable kitchens, such as Waldorf Astoria and Park Hyatt Chicago. With African American and Colombian roots, I've grown up watching and understanding both soul food and Latin American food. My earliest memories of food are the smells of sofrito being sautéed in a pot along with the perfect amount of smoked ham to start a fresh pot of Arroz con Gandules, or over at my fathers home where I vividly remember him dancing to Smokey Robinson as he starts to fry the chicken as he perfectly times the cooking process to the baked macaroni in the oven. In my life food has always been love, not only has it saved my life but it's been therapeutic for me over the years. I've learned to fuse my French and Spanish influences and techniques from professional kitchens to propel me to the next level in creating my own dining experience. My mission as your personal chef is to give you the freedom to enjoy quality food w/out effort. whether it's meal-prep that suits you or the desire of an in-home personal chef that utilizes, creates, and executes in your personal home kitchen.

My mission is to be unique from the rest, you'll never find pictures from google or any other search engine that delivers just a pretty picture. Every item on my menu is crafted by my hands. My vision is to create a better everyday life through food, whether it's my delicious private dining menu, Brunch menu, or meal prep for those that can't find the time to organize a healthy alternative to fast food. Offering continued flexibility and safety upfront is my main focus, I aim to provide continued peace of mind,  I'm dedicated to doing right and exceeding daily expectations. Costumers and clients are my priority sourcing from local farms and local gardens are how I plan to separate myself from the average cook. The goal is to commit myself to you any way possible, whether that means adhering to dietary restrictions or delivering your meal prep on specific days. I want to cater to all people from all walks of life, by putting my people first, each encounter with a new client is an opportunity to create an experience to remember and grow together.
